Spouses Zach and Libby Hilty left their home to do some errands. Once they were back, they spotted an animal on their porch. They weren’t sure if it was a bear but it sure had black fur.
The couple was terrified at first. They thought some wild animal had gotten into their property, and they feared for their safety. But when they looked closer, they figured out it was a dog.
They couldn’t tell where the dog may have come from, but they were certain that it did not belong to any of their neighbors. After all, the nearest house to their 200-acre farmland was a few miles away. Even the road that connects them to the city was at a great distance.
The dog was old and sick and the couple couldn’t let it bear the cold air outside so they let it in. They gave it some food and decided to let it stay while they tried and figured things out. They also gave it a wash because they noticed it constantly itched and scratched its skin.
The dog, now Turbo, wasn’t in the best shape. He was seriously dehydrated, famished, and for some reason, disoriented. There was something wrong with him, the couple agreed. But because they couldn’t decipher what it was, they decided to wait until morning so they could take him to the vet.
Surprisingly, after a good night’s sleep, Turbo felt recharged and renewed. He enjoyed the car ride to the vet and all he needed was to get his vaccines up to date. After that, he went back home with Zach and Libby.
The spouses spent a whole month searching for Turbo’s rightful owners. They posted his photo on the internet and asked their friends and relatives to share it. However, not one individual came to claim him, so they knew that fate brought him to them.
Turbo was so happy to finally find his home. He couldn’t thank his new mom and dad for giving him a second chance at life. At last, he got a family he called his own.
