Esmeralda Alvarez was concerned when she saw a little dog got hit by a speeding car. She contacted Hope For Paws, a non-profit rescue group, to help the animal.
Eldad Hagar, the founder of the group, rushed to the site that was reported to them. There he found the dog under a car. She had a broken leg. Eldad knew that the dog was in pain. The dog was growling at him each time he came near.
The dog surely was feeling a lot of pain. She was also fearful that Eldad may hurt him more. Surely, she was also starving since she was stray.
Eldad did the best he could to make the pooch trust him. Later, he named this dog Arya. He allowed her to sniff him and the leash he had. But Arya was preparing to flee. To avoid that, Eldad setup a plastic fence around the car. It took some time but Eldad was able to put the leash around her.
When Eldad placed Arya on his lap, the dog relaxed. Esmeralda came close and gave the dog a chicken nugget.
Eldad brought Arya to the vet. An x-ray was done and it showed that her femur was broken. She also had eaten rocks.
Arya got the medical care she needed. In 3 weeks, she was back in good health and was already running and playing. She lived with a foster family who has been taking care of her and nursing her back to health.
Soon enough, the dog showed her true colors. She is quite a sweet little dog. She loves giving kisses to her foster parents and loves to cuddle with them. Arya is still looking for a family who would adopt her and give her a forever home, lots of attention, and tons of love.
