Become a Foster Guardian, a nonprofit animal rescue group in Kuwait, received a call about a dog that needed urgent help. The rescuers didn’t know what to expect but they agreed they had to act quickly. So without wasting any second, they went out to save the dog.
After about an hour, the rescuers finally met the dog named Boiko. They knew he was young and they had no doubt that at such a young age, he’s already been through so much. And what they discovered about him was more appalling than what they already knew.
Apparently, Boiko lived with his owners. But one day, she just decided she no longer wanted him. She kicked him out of the house and eventually dumped him on the farm where he was found. And to ensure he didn’t find his way back home, she tied him to a tree and sadly left him with no food or water.
It took days before someone with a kind heart spotted the poor dog. He was so exhausted, thirsty, and hungry, having to wait for so long. But despite it all, he held on until the rescuers came.
Boiko couldn’t figure out why he suddenly became homeless. He had no idea how to live his life now that he was without a family. Besides the fact that he was tethered to a tree, he didn’t know how or where to find food. He didn’t even drink water when the rescuers offered him some because he was so clueless.
It took a while before the dog’s health improved. He was so weary that he slept almost the entire day without eating food. But his rescuers ensured he received proper nutrition by hooking him up to an IV and force-feeding him whenever he was awake.
It seemed almost impossible at first but Boiko eventually recovered. He bounced back physically, but he needed something more to heal his broken heart. Thankfully, it didn’t take very long for him to find his new home.
Boiko now lives with his loving mom in the states. He loves his new life and he is so grateful for the second chance he got.
