Roman used to be the only furry baby in their family. Despite having no siblings to play with, he was so playful and was also clumsy, as his mom Jessica described him. He bumped and knocked down almost everything inside their house. But then, Sugar came into their lives, and everything about him changed.
Sugar came from a breeder. When Jessica learned that her previous owner no longer needed her, she spoke with her husband and asked what he thought about rescuing a bunny. When he said it was perfectly fine, she wasted no time and brought her home.
Jessica wasn’t so sure how Roman and Sugar would react once they met one another. She was a little worried and she knew she had to take things slowly between the two of them. Surprisingly, the introduction process between the two turned out to be incredibly quick and easy.
Roman sat outside Sugar’s cage and watched her for hours. He was curious and she was equally intrigued about him. About a week later, they had the chance to see each other face-to-face.
Under their mom’s supervision, the duo was given the freedom to play inside their sunroom. Sugar wasn’t in her cage so she tried to explore the things around her. She hopped around and jumped all over him while he rested.
Roman, instead of getting annoyed, seemed delighted. He rolled over on his back, looked at his mom, and smiled. He was so happy to have her bunny sister around, and Jessica knew it was the start of their special friendship.
The bunny hates it when her mom or dad picks her up. She also doesn’t like them touching her feet a lot. She demands personal space from them, but not from Roman. He can touch her, lick her head, and nose her around.
Roman is about ten times bigger than Sugar, but he lets her lead the show. He waits for her cues all the time. When she wants to play, he obliges, and when she doesn’t feel like it, he respects her. It’s the kind of relationship they have.
