Unwanted Dog With Underbite, Wonky Nose, And Wobbly Legs Has Found His Happy Ending

Unwanted Dog With Underbite, Wonky Nose, And Wobbly Legs Has Found His Happy Ending

For months, potential adopters kept rejecting Pepo because of his looks. Pepo has an underbite and wonky nose. He also has out-turned feet, making him look like an “evil Minion.” Thankfully, after waiting for eight months, Pepo found a loving family.

The Animal Angels Global, a shelter from East Sussex, rescued Pepo. He was originally from Spain and was found begging for food before he was brought to the UK to be rehomed. However, because of his appearance, Pepo had a hard time finding a family. He had to stay in foster homes for eight long months.

The shelter made several posts to advertise Pepo, but no one took an interest in him. So, they wrote a post from the pup’s point of view. According to Pepo, he has been looking for a family for a while now. He is wondering if nobody wants him because of his teeth. He said that his friends from Breton Spaniel Rescue told him that he is handsome so he would find a new family.

Pepo’s long post ended up going viral. Because of that, over 1,000 families applied to take him in. Among all of them, the lucky person who was chosen to bring Pepo home was Jo Strachan from Tiverton in Devon. Jo said that this was meant to be.

Jo recalled how her sister tagged her in the post, and she jokingly said that she would have him. The next thing she knew, she was already applying for Pepo’s adoption. Jo said that her sister was so overwhelmed that she got him.

According to Jo, she had never been picked as the right person for anything. So, the trust and opportunity to look after Pepo is a big thing. Jo and her husband had been looking for another dog to keep Bob, their eight-year-old pooch, company. So, Jo jumped at the chance upon seeing that Pepo would thrive in a house with another pet.

Pepo’s scans and X-rays revealed that he suffered from violent abuse in the past. Despite that, he remains so sweet, loving, and trusting. Jo could not believe how Pepo still wants human company after being mistreated before. According to her, Pepo wants nothing but cuddles and some gravy bones.
